Get stopped by traffic police in India and you are negotiating in the dark. You rarely know what the offence actually costs, so you pay whatever you are told. Road Traffic Fines puts the published amount in your pocket — every offence, across six of the largest cities, working with no signal at all.

What it does
-
Know the number before you pay
Every offence with its published fine, first time and repeat, so the conversation starts from a figure rather than a guess.
-
Six cities, one app
New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata, each with its own schedule of offences and amounts.
-
Works with no signal
The internet is needed once, on first open. After that the whole thing lives on the phone — which is the point, because the roadside is exactly where you have no data.
-
Sorted by what just happened
Offences are grouped the way trouble actually arrives: an accident, drunk driving, licence and documents, public transport, something wrong with the vehicle.
-
Most fines are smaller than you think
The premise of the whole app: around 80% of traffic offences in Indian cities carried a ₹100 fine. Not knowing that is what made ignorance expensive.
This is a snapshot of a system that has since changed. The app was built in 2017 against the fine schedule of the time. India amended the Motor Vehicles Act in 2019 and many penalties went up sharply, so the amounts here are historical rather than current.
